A class is essentially the selection of job you choose to pursue in Maple Story. As a beginner, you may not have a job yet. But with a lot of training, you will soon meet the requirement for your 1st job advancement. With new skills added after their job advancement, a beginner should be able to level up quite rapidly. When getting the 1st job advancement at level 10, you can become a Training Knight, and you can choose one of the following Knights to be your job instructor.

Note: Cygnus knights may only reach level 120.

Soul Master/Dawn Warrior

A swordsman with the Light Spirit. Turns the power of the Spirit into a soul form, and
Nineheart
imbues it within the sword to use it.

Flame Wizard/Blaze Wizard

A magician with the Fire Spirit. Amplifies the power of the Spirit with magic to wield it.
(Closely resembles a Fire/Poison Magician)











Wind Breaker/Wind Archer

Closely bowman with the Wind Spirit. Loads the power of the Spirit into the bow to shoot wind-bearing arrows.
(Closely resembles a Hunter)









Night Walker/Night Walker

A thief with the Darkness Spirit. Not only is the power of the Spirit used, but is capable of handling powerful poison.

(Closely resembles an Assassin)











Striker/Thunder Breaker

A pirate with the Lightning Spirit. Awakens the entire body with the power of the Spirit, and uses powerful bodily skills.
